About the project “Photography for Ukraine”:
Photography for Ukraine is a project created under the auspices of the Slovak online magazine www.dokumentmagazin.sk - the archive of Slovak photography, in cooperation with the Ukrainian photography festival Odesa Photo Days, and is mainly aimed at supporting photographers, artists and the cultural scene in Ukraine. More than 50 artists from Slovakia and Ukraine participated and provided their photographs for sale. These will be offered on our website for 3 weeks (from 10.04. to 01.05. 2022) and then delivered to the donors. More works will be added subsequently. All funds raised will be donated for the support of Ukraine. Part of the funds will be transferred via partner organization (NGO Art Travel, organizer of Odesa Photo Days) to the humanitarian organization Kharkiv With You, part will be used for direct relief to the families of Ukrainian artists most badly struck by the atrocities of war.
How to buy a photograph?
Choose a photograph and create an online order on the website www.dokumentmagazin.sk/preukrajinu. You will receive a confirmation email with further instructions. We will distribute the artworks after the project is finished. If you have opted for collecting your artworks personally, they’ll be prepared for pickup at the Medium Gallery, Hviezdoslavovo námestie 18 in Bratislava. We will inform you in writing about the delivery. If you have chosen delivery by postal service, we will deliver the artworks to the address you specified.
The recommended minimum price for one photograph is 69€, but the final decision is up to you, you can also contribute a higher amount to the collection. All funds raised will be donated to support Ukrainian photography, thanks to the fact that the printing of the photographs is financially supported by our partners SYNCHRONIX, a.s. and Bright, s.r.o.

Photographic exhibitions of Ukrainian artists:
Andriy Lomakin - outdoor exhibition in the cultural and tourist centre Hájovňa in Banská Štiavnica. A large-format installation of black and white photographs from the series "Calm Water" on the facade of the cultural center will open in May and will be open for one year.
Svitlana Levchenko - outdoor exhibition at the Stojiská gallery, Drieňová housing estate in Banská Štiavnica. Co-organised by the cultural-tourist centre HÁJOVŇA and the town of Banská Štiavnica.
Exhibition of Ukrainian photographers in SLOVAK PRESS PHOTO Gallery at Ventúrska st. in Bratislava. Co-organised by the cultural-tourist centre HÁJOVŇA and the Foundation SLOVAK PRESS PHOTO. The exhibition will be opened in May and subsequently moved to HÁJOVŇA. We are also discussing cooperation with other institutions in the independent cultural network.
All activities are aimed at raising funds for the promotion of photographic art and culture in Ukraine. Therefore, all exhibited photographs are for sale and we hope that the cultural public will support Ukraine in difficult times by buying them.
